Download Destination

Use your library card to check out and download free audiobooks, ebooks, & music onto your computer or portable device 24/7 with Download Destination! Saline District Library provides this service with other regional libraries through OverDrive Digital Media.

Download Destination is Easy to Use

  • Browse. Browse the digital catalog on the Download Destination website. You may also search by title, subject, author, and other criteria.
  • Check out. Add selections to your 'Cart'. If a title is not available, you may place a hold. Click on the 'Proceed to Checkout' link and enter your library card and pin number. If you don't have a pin number, please ask library staff for assistance. You can have up to 5 titles checked out at a time. Audiobooks can be checked out for up to 14 days, music for up to 7 days, and ebooks for up to 21 days. At the end of the checkout period, the title will automatically expire.
  • Download. Titles may be downloaded onto your home PC or Mac, but not on library computers. Click on the 'Download' button under each title to launch the free OverDrive Media Console for audiobooks and music. The OverDrive Media Console will run on the Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, iPad, iTouch, Mac computer, Windows PC, and Windows Mobile. For ebooks, you will be prompted to download Adobe Digital Editions. Follow the instructions to complete the installation. Once downloaded, titles may be listened to or read on your computer and transferred to a compatible portable device.

  • Problems signing onto Download Destination? There could be an issue with your library account, including an expired card, the wrong pin number, fines of $7.50 or more, or a block on your account. Pin numbers are case sensitive, so if you have letters in your pin "number" you may need to try upper case to see if that makes a difference. Please either contact us (429-5450) or use the Help tab on Download Destination to contact Support using the link toward the bottom of that page.
